Three chicks story text / Living Buddha Lian Sheng, Lu Sheng Yen
As a child, mother often tell a story to me, so I often think of this story.
Mother Lu Huang Yu Nv, her surname Huang, married father Lu Er Shun, so she bore her husband's surname.
Before married, her home town is in Penghu's Xiao Chi Jiao (tiny lake corner), which is located at Xi Yu (West Island), before bridge was built, the public must ride public ferry from Ma Gong's habour in order to gain access to Xi Yu.
Mother said:
That time, the islanders used to plant lots of trees so as to ward off the sand storm before they started planting agricultural products such as peanuts and sweet potatoes.
Once, a bird nest with three chicks was spotted on a budding tree, with nurture needs.
We can imagine, first there is a nest, then three eggs, then three cute little chicks being hatch.
The mother bird will prey for small white worm, she then feeds the chicks, beak to beak.
This is a very intimate scene, chicks mouth wide open, tongue in and out, uttering "Yeah! Yeah!" sounds, and swallow the catch from mother's mouth.
In the Xiao Chi Jiao village, there is a naughty girl, when she passed by the trees, she spotted the nest also.
She is really mischievous.
She took three nails, while the tiny chicks mouth opened wide and made "Yeah! Yeah!" sound, she placed a nail in each of the mouth of tiny chicks.
Oh my God!
Of course, three little chicks dead!
Who will be there to witness the sorrow of mother bird?
Soon, the girls grew up and got married, she gave birth to three children.
Unexpected thing happened.
The three children are "dumb", the mouth can only issue a "Yah! Yah!" Sound.
Like that:
Three children often lift up their face and mouth towards ceiling, revealing a "starving" state.
Like morphology of the three chicks.
My mother said:
"This is karma! Who can say, there is no causal retribution?"
I listened!
Intimidating!

I wrote this book, I have two hundred and fortieth two volumes of collected works, the title of this book is "Paging of Strange Tales," sub-title is' Knowledge and Awareness. "
See - What I saw.
Wen (Hear) - What I heard.
Feel - What I feel.
Know - What I know.
The so-called "Strange":
Is supernatural.
Is deity-ghost related.
Is causal.
Is weird.
Nevertheless, I want to write this book more rigorously, the subject is to inculcate positive and constructive thinking, to position oneself with correct values in any incident evaluation, with a concise approach yet straight to the point, and all I wish, in a kind of normal story telling manner.
Generally, for any supernatural incidents:
Whoever believe will believe,
Who do not believe will not believe.
Whether or not to believe it, your own choice.

三隻幼鳥的故事 文／蓮生活佛 盧勝彥
小時候，母親常常講一個故事給我聽，因此，我常常想起這個故事。
母親盧黃玉女，本姓黃，嫁給父親盧耳順，所以冠上夫姓。
未嫁前，原住澎湖小池角，小池角就在西嶼，以前跨海大橋未建，必須從馬公乘船才能到西嶼。
母親說：
當地風沙很大，農產品大約是「花生」及「蕃薯」，要種田，先要植擋風的樹欉。
有一回。
在樹欉的枝芽，有鳥築巢，裡面有三隻幼鳥嗷嗷待哺。
我們可以想像，一個鳥巢，先有三個鳥蛋，生出三隻小小的可愛幼鳥。
而母鳥會出去覓食，咬著白色的小蟲蟲，由母鳥的嘴，度到幼鳥的口中。
這是一個非常溫馨的景象，幼鳥的口，張得大大的，鳥舌吞吐，發出了輕微「呀！呀！」的聲音，牠們由母鳥的口中，接住了小蟲蟲。
小池角村子裏，有一位調皮的少女，路過樹欉的時候，發現了鳥巢。
她很頑皮。
就取來三支鐵釘，當小幼鳥口張開的時候，「呀！呀！」出聲的時候，把三支鐵釘，放入小幼鳥的口中。
天啊！
當然三隻小幼鳥死了！
而母鳥的哀悽可知？
很快的，這位少女長大出嫁了，她生了三個小孩。
想不到的事，發生了。
這三個小孩都是「啞巴」，口中只能發出「啞！啞！」的聲音。
更像的是：
三個小孩的頭口，常常朝上，露出「嗷嗷待哺」的狀態。
就如同那三隻幼鳥的形態。
我母親說：
「這就是因果報應！誰敢說，沒有因果報應呢？」
我聽了！
悚然！

我寫這本書，是我的第二百四十二冊的文集，這本書的書名是「怪談一篇篇」，副題是「見聞覺知」。
見——是我看見的。
聞——是我聽來的。
覺——是我感覺到的。
知——是我知道的。
所謂「怪談」：
是靈異的。
是神鬼的。
是因果的。
是怪異的。
雖然如此，但我想把這本書寫得嚴謹些，主旨是正人心，衡情論理之確當，言簡意賅，但望，所言不謬。
大凡靈異事件：
信者自信。
不信者不信。
信不信由你。
